Opening Day 2008...

Opening Day was a huge success! We kicked things off with a parade down College Avenue in Bluefield, all the way to the little league fields. All the teams met on the outfield of the Major League field, where all players and teams were announced. The annual Home Run Derby followed, where kids hit the ball as far as they could, and raced around the bases, too!

Bluefield Area Little League is a volunteer program.  We ask parents to become involved in our league. Any volunteer time you can donate would be greatly appreciated by the children and the board.  Help is needed as team managers, team coaches, umpires, score keepers, board members, concession workers, grounds keepers, safety, equipment, publicity, and many other areas.
